My Story

My name is Matt, and I’m the owner of All Saints Lock & Key. If you’re going to trust me with your security, I believe you should know a little about who I am.

I live in Forest Lake, Minnesota with my wife and kids on a small hobby farm, where we raise chickens and have two very active livestock guardian dogs. Community and family are important to me, and that carries through in how I run my business.

I grew up in St. Paul and attended Cretin-Derham Hall High School before earning a double major in Law Enforcement and Political Science from Mankato State University. In 1995, I was hired by the Minneapolis Police Department, where I served for nearly three decades and eventually became a Lieutenant in the Violent Criminal Investigations Division.

Along the way, I earned a master’s degree in Police Leadership from the University of St. Thomas. I retired in 2023, proud of my service and the dedication of my fellow officers.

After retiring, I trained with an established locksmith company and completed formal locksmith coursework through Foley Belsaw Locksmith School. I started All Saints Lock & Key in January 2024, specializing in residential and commercial locksmithing, as well as automotive keys and lockouts. I also offer complimentary security inspections for homes and businesses upon request.

I’m a proud supporter of the Invisible Wounds Project, which helps first responders, dispatchers, nurses, and military members living with PTSD. I’m also a member of the ALOA Security Professionals Association and a Certified Fire Door Inspector through ALOA coursework.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. I look forward to working with you.
